Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. This site keeps them to a minimum and gives you control. You can change your choice at any time using the button below or the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.
The categories I use
Strictly necessary
These keep the site working, for example remembering your cookie choice and keeping the contact form secure. They are always on because the site cannot function properly without them, and they do not track you.
Analytics (optional)
If you allow it, Google Analytics helps me understand how the site is used, such as which pages are popular, so I can make it better. This information is aggregated and does not identify you personally. You can switch it off at any time.
Marketing (the Meta pixel)
I use the Meta pixel to measure whether my Facebook and Instagram ads bring people to the site, for example when someone requests a free website audit, and to show my ads to people who have visited. It sets the _fbp cookie. If you are visiting from the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area it stays off until you allow it. Elsewhere, including Australia, it runs by default and you can switch it off at any time in the cookie settings.
How consent works here
The site uses Google Consent Mode. If you are visiting from the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, analytics and marketing stay completely switched off until you choose to accept them, and you are shown a banner so you can decide. If you are visiting from Australia, where the rules differ, analytics and the Meta pixel run by default because that is permitted, and you can turn it off whenever you like using the cookie settings link. Either way, the choice is yours and you can change it at any time.
