Strata Tradies is live. This one is mine rather than a client build. It is a directory of contractors who specialise in strata work, across Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria.
I have spent more than twelve years in Queensland strata, and I am a strata owner myself. The same problem comes up in every scheme. A committee needs a waterproofer, a lift technician or a fire compliance firm, and the tradie who is excellent on a suburban house is not automatically the right fit for a 40 lot high-rise. Common property, lot boundaries, committees, scopes of works and insurance all work differently.
So Strata Tradies lists only contractors who do strata work. There are 44 trade categories, from electricians and plumbers to rope access, capital works plans and pool safety inspections. Every profile is reviewed before it goes live, and a contractor needs a current $20 million public liability certificate on file before they can receive an enquiry.
For contractors it is free to list. There is no subscription and no lock-in. They pay a flat $9 plus GST per lead, and only when a committee, a strata manager or an owner sends them an enquiry.
For committees, managers and owners it is free. Describe the job once, choose the contractors who cover your suburb, and each one you pick hears from you directly.
It is open now for founding members. The first five businesses in each trade, in each region, get a permanent Founding Member badge and their first six months of leads free. Quote requests open trade by trade and region by region, as each one gets its first contractor.
If you run a trade that works in strata buildings, or you know someone who does, I would appreciate you passing this on.
